What is Baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of what God has already done in a person's heart! Christians fulfill the command of Jesus (Matt. 28:19–20) when they are submerged in water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and rise out of the water to identify with his resurrection (Rom. 6:1–10; Col. 2:12).
This identification with the death, burial, and resurrection through baptism testifies to the fact that we believe in faith that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose three days later, and is now alive and Lord over all of creation.
Who Should Be Baptized?
If you have made a commitment to Jesus, we encourage you to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in him.
If have not been a follower of Jesus but are ready to make the decision to surrender your life to him, a Christian friend or one of our church leaders can walk you through this life-changing decision. We then invite you to be baptized and make a public confession of your faith.
If you are interested in getting baptized at Gospel Life Church, our next baptism service is on October 25, 2015. Please click HERE and take a moment to fill out the Baptism Interview. We will contact you with further details.
